  • CHIM [David Seymour] Children of war

    David Seymout 'Chim', the famous co-founder of Magnum Photos, photographed the condition of European children who survived World War II. The show at D17 Gallery (Budapest), as a satellite exhibition of Art Market Budapest 2016 focuses especially on the work that Chim did in Hungary and Poland.

    The works of Universitatea de Artă și Design din Cluj-Napoca (UAD) students speak on the social interaction within the architecture of a cosmopolitan city, and on how social changes left their mark upon the visible part of Cluj. It is an exercise of reading between wrinkles, of beautifying a city in which oldness, poverty and poor environmental taste are pretentiously displayed, like inadequate makeup.

    Sounding and touchable sculptures inspirated the Rock/Space/Time exhibition of Ludwig Museum. The original artworks and the soundig sculptures int he same place! The description of the contemprary artworks are availabel with Braille-writing.

  • "ME" the travelling exhibition

    The paintings, drawings, sculptures, photos and novels on the show are the art works of the chilldre who's have to stay for a long time int six different hospital in Hungary. This children are participating in KórházSuli Program. In the project the pupils of Eötvös József Secondary School, and the volunteers of BAGázs Foundation help for the little children.

    We all have those memory traces that we would never forget. These traces are incorporated in to our life, and it has a huge influence on who we are now. This memory can be something good to remember or something really bad that we want to clear from the brain. In this competition participants try to process their imperishable memory by adding additional feeling and thoughts.

    The exhibition offers an overall picture of the different kind of contemporary box art pieces of Hungary, through elder and younger artits’ box-artworks. The exhibition has two titles that represent the two focuses of the collection.
